చింతనం- హిందువులు చేయగలిగిన ఆరు పనులు (అనువాద లేఖ)

ఆంగ్లం (ఏ ఇతర భాషలో అయినా) వ్రాసే వేళ హిందువులు చేయగలిగిన ఆరు పనులు-

1) దేవుడి ప్రతిమలకు ‘మూర్తి’ ‘విగ్రహం’ అని వాడండి. ఐడల్, స్టాచ్యూ, ఇమేజ్ అనకండి. గురువు, మంత్రం అనే పదాలు ఆంగ్లం వాడకంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు విగ్రహం, మూర్తికి మాత్రం స్థానం ఎందుకు లేదు?

2) ఎవరైనా చనిపోయారని వార్త తెలిసినప్పుడు అర్థం పర్థం లేని ‘ఆర్ ఐ పీ’ (రెస్ట్ ఇన్ పీస్) అని వాడకండి. ఓం శాంతిః, లేదా ‘సద్గతి ప్రాప్తించుగాక’ అనండి.

3) హనుమంతుని, గణపతిని గురించి చెప్పేవేళ ‘కోతి ముఖం దేవుడ’ని, ‘ఏనుగు ముఖం దేవుడ’ని అనకండి. కేవలం శ్రీగణేశుడు, శ్రీహనుమంతుడు అనండి.

4) హిందూ మందిరాలను కూలగొట్టిన మతోన్మాదులు, ఇస్లాము మతం వారి గురించి చెప్పేవేళ వారిని విదేశీ ఆక్రమణకారులు అని అనకండి. వారికి పేర్లు ఉన్నాయి. వాటిని స్పష్టంగా పేర్కొనండి.

5) మూర్తిపూజ (విగ్రహారాధనం) గురించి చెప్పేవేళ అది ప్రతీక అని, సంకేతమనీ పిచ్చి గా అనవసరంగా వివరణలు ఇవ్వకండి. ఐడల్ అనే పదాన్ని అస్సలు వాడకండి. అది అబ్రాహ్మిక్ మతాలు నీచార్థంలో వాడిన పదం. వారికి ఐడల్ ని ఆరాధించటం నేరం. దానికి మనం వివరణలు ఇవ్వటమెందుకు?

6. ఇతిహాసాలైన రామాయణం, మహాభారతం, పురాణాలను గురించి చెప్పే వేళ మైథాలజీ అనే పదం వాడకండి. అది మిథ్ కాదు. మిథ్ అంటే అబద్ధమని అర్థం. బ్రిటిష్ వారు మన యథార్థ చరిత్రలను అబద్ధాలు అని నిరూపించటానికి వాడిన పదం అది. అవతారపురుషుల జననం నుండి, యుద్ధాల వరకు ప్రతీదానికి మన వద్ద చారిత్రక సాక్ష్యాధారాలున్నవి. అదుకని వాటికి పురాణాలు, శాస్త్రాలు అని వాడటం మంచిది. బ్రిటిష్ వారిలో ఉన్న భక్తులు సైతం మన పురాణాలదులలోని చారిత్రికాంశాన్ని మిథ్ అనరు.

గుర్తుంచుకోండి- ఎవరు తమను తాము గౌరవించుకుంటారో, లోకం వారినే గౌరవిస్తుంది.

Six things a Hindu should be careful while speaking or writing in English.

1) Never refer to sculptures of our Gods as 'idols', 'statues' or 'images'. Use the terms Moorthi or Vigraha. If words like Guru and Mantra can be mainstream, why not Moorthi or Vigraha?

2) Don't use that meaningless term RIP when someone dies. Use Om Shanti or #sadgati instead.

3) Don't refer to Ganesh and Hanuman as 'elephant god and monkey god' respectively. Simply write Shree Ganesh and Shree Hanuman.

4) When you write/talk about the destruction of Hindu temples by bigoted Islamic rulers, don't call them 'foreign invaders'. They had names. Use them.

5) Never ever give weak justifications of Moorthi pooja like 'oh, it is just a symbol'. And yeah, don't EVER call it 'idol worship'. It is a derogatory term coined by Abrahamanic faiths that have decided 'Idol Worship' is a crime. Why should WE be defensive about it?

6. Never use the term Mythology for our historic Ramayana & Mahabharata.
Mythology is introduced by some Britishers who want to prove us, our history of Ramayana and Mahabharata is false and part of myth.
We got our historical evidence from birth to wars and everything related to these places. Please use words Puranas & Sasthras for our history, but not the British word Mythology.
Even many British devotees don't agree with using the word Mythology for Indian history.
Remember, the world respects only those who respect themselves!
